We are in need of highly skilled **Head Pastry Chef.**
**Roles & Responsiblites**:
- Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc.
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.
- Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed.
- Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized, including maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, equipment, and utensils
- Promote sales by providing customers with information about the available products and special offers
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns, complaints, and questions in a professional manner
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and timely service, cleanliness, and quality of the product
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
**Requirments & Qualifications**:
- Two or more yearsof experience working within the food industry as a Head Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.
- Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
- Keen attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Pastry Chef training or certification is a plus
