**Job Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Sets**
- Graduate with a degree / diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent degree
- Minimum of five (5) years supply chain experience (Automotive / Engineering / Electrical Retail Industry) of which 2 years experience in similar position
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of import and export documentation requirements
- Knowledge of Inventory Management techniques
- Knowledge of local indirect tax system
- Ability to communicate supply chain objectives clearly and convey the benefits to the organization
- Knowledge of planning and forecasting systems
- Understand macro-environment - competitors, suppliers (OEM’s), government policies, etc.
- Ability to liaise with OEM’s to maintain existing relationships to ensure continuous supply of products
- Ability to coordinate with distributors to maintain relationships and ensure fulfillment of orders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent team-building and management skills
- Experience in tire retail industry is preferred

**Detailed Job Description**
- **Manage Planning & Procurement**
- Planning
- Ascertain monthly tire requirements based on sales forecast in coordination with the sales team
- Prepare sourcing schedules based on tire requirements and inventory levels
- Ensure coordination with the sales team to address shortages of stock
- Prepare purchase order schedule
- Communicate defined/finalized purchase order schedule to all concerned departments
- Ensure timely receipt of stock
- Highlight delays to the sales team in receipt of stock
- Prepare alternate plans in case of change in schedule of delivery
- Procurement
- Facilitate negotiations required with all tire and battery manufacturers
- Monitor frequency of purchases and recommend possible options to increase effectiveness of purchasing power
- Develop a sourcing plan
- Review analysis of supplier wise - item wise data under all item categories
- Assist in identifying opportunities for reduction in procurement costs
- Perform assessment and qualification of potential suppliers
- Develop system to evaluate suppliers on the following criteria
- Average lead time
- Adherence to negotiated terms and conditions
- Claims
- Manage operations related to inbound logistics
- Issue of L/C
- Negotiation of shipping terms
- Checking & passing of freight bills
- Shipping related documentation
- Clearing of import consignments
- **Manage warehouse operations**
- Direct storage and distribution activities of the warehouse
- Ensure supplies are handled, stored and distributed in an efficient manner
- Take precautions to secure warehouse contents and loss
- Ensure operational excellence of the warehouse through

- Manage Inventory
- Determine stocking places in warehouse for each type of tires / consignment
- Coordinate with sales team and give them inventory status of FG
- Monitor flow of inventory
- Define FIFO norms
- Conduct ABC, XYZ, analysis to prioritize FG inventory
- Identify moving and non-moving FG stock
- Conduct ageing analysis for stock at warehouse
- Inform the sales team about ageing stock
- Coordinate with retail manager and sales staff to dispose off non-moving items
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory laws, agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
- **Manage routing and transportation**
- Direct the company’s program for transport of orders
- Evaluate and select a suitable route and method of transport
- Develop a routing plan to be followed by the sales team and transporter
- Develop strategic partnership with transporter, if required
- Monitor the performance of the transporter
