Food and Beverage Safety Officer

In this temporary position, you will ensure that the food and beverage being sold by the operators leasing our food service facilities located either in _Corniche, Accommodation Sites or in spots near football Stadiums_ is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged. Typically your work is to inspect day-to-day operations. You are responsible for inspecting and making sure that the operators operate within certain standards for sanitation, a hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plan, and processing. In addition, you will monitor other aspects of operations that relate to consumer protection; for example, misbranding food service facilities leased by.
- Responsibilities: _
- _Monitor Health and Safety._ HSSE Staff monitors incidents of injury, illness, and other situations within an assigned geographic area.
- Create Reports. HSSE Staff write reports detailing health and safety within their assigned research market.
- _Develop Strategies._ HSSE Staff design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety.
- _Investigate_. HSSE Staff go into the field to investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market. They may also assign team members to investigate reported incidents.
- _Design Training Programs_. HSSE Staff design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
- _Give Presentations._ HSSE Staff give presentations about current safety hazards based on market research to educate others about avoiding health, safety, and environmental hazards.
- _Perform Risk Assessments._ HSSE Staff assess risks associated with tools and equipment, jobsites, and work environments within their assigned research market.
- Food Safety & Hygiene Officer Requirements: _
- Completion of Level 4 Food & Beverage (HSSE) training program.
- Occupational health and safety; related fields like engineering, biology, chemistry, or industrial hygiene
- Without a bachelor's, one year of job-related experience demonstrating knowledge of sanitation practices and control measures for handling and preparing food products
- Food safety and hygiene officers use computerized testing equipment, so you should be comfortable with technology
- You must also be detail oriented and able to understand and follow safety standards and government regulations
- You will need to communicate safety instructions and concerns, as well as writing and delivering training to workers, so you should be confident about your communication skills.
- You'll also be designing and improving processes and procedures to make food production safe and free of hazards, so your problem-solving skills should be first-rate.
- Physical stamina is also a requirement. In fact, the FSIS requires that you pass a physical before employment.
- This is because the job requires standing for long periods and involves exposure to offensive odors and environments that may be excessively hot, cold, or humid.
- Can Speak Fluent English and Arabic is a plus.
- Have valid QID and can provide temporary NOC letter.
