Key Accountabilities:

- Primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Volunteer Programs Specialist by providing assistance and supervision as needed, and responsible for managing the volunteers’ Database on a daily basis.Consults with the Volunteer Programs staff to determine organization needs for various volunteer services and implement various volunteer program activities
- Participates in the selection of volunteers in accordance with CS volunteer selection criteria.
- Assists in arranging for on-the-job and other required training (manuals, protocols).
- Oversees and evaluates volunteer work as directed by THE Senior Volunteer Programs Specialist.
- Manage the volunteers’ database and maintain records of volunteer work hours.
- Respond to any volunteer requests form on the Portal and inform the Senior Volunteer Programs Specialist accordingly.
- Keep a day-to-day contact with volunteers and respond to their needs.
- Supports the creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the volunteer program resource mobilization strategy.
- Participates in the scheduling and coordination of volunteer recognition and appreciation events.
- Responsible for preparing certificates and sharing them with the volunteers on a project basis.
- Orients and trains volunteers prior to assignment to specific programs or activities.
- Establishes positive working relationships with staff members and volunteers; reconciles personnel problems.
- Provides administrative support to the team when needed.
- Determines required work plans.
- Takes action to identify and improve the Database and/or other communication resources with the volunteers.
- Designs volunteers job descriptions.
- Supervises and trains volunteers prior to assignment to specific programs or activities as requested by the team.
- Works closely with QM volunteers, providing training and organizing various activities.
- Maintain and implements, the goals, objectives, activities, and work standards for the Community Service.
- Directs the day-to-day work and recruitment of volunteers and ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively.
- Supervises volunteer activities and initiatives.
- Carries out improvements to the program to meet changing mission parameters and requirements.
- Maintains a high level of quality and accuracy for all program operations and reports.
- Able to resolve program issues and implement improvements to ensure programs stays on course.
- Develops strong working relationships with internal colleagues through clear and transparent communications and support the work of other colleagues with a view to achieving the overall aims of the directorate.
- Demonstrates extraordinary teamwork spirit and respect among colleagues, volunteers, and partners.
- Show quality job requirements within the accepted standards of time, cost and quality.
- Maintains regular attendance, punctuality, and dedication. Consistently arrives to work and departs from work as scheduled.
- Deals with integrity all matters at the workplace and outside of work
- Accepts responsibilities in different shifts, both outside normal working hours and during official holidays or weekends if required by the organization
- Performs all other duties, within a reasonable boundary, as assigned by the Head of CS
- Complies with all the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.
- Adheres to Qatar Museums policies and standards.
Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Proven 1-3 years of full-time work experience in a related field, with previous working experience with volunteers and development organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly develop strong working relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a challenging environment
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage time and work under the pressure of tight and conflicting deadlines
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate the team as well as a wide variety of groups and individuals, building supportive networks within the community
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Working knowledge of Arabic and English is a must. Additional languages are a plus.
- Commitment to organizational development, beyond the immediate area of responsibility.
