**About the role**

Responsible for the overall design, delivery management of the national talent development program within Qatar Airways Group. Has a strategic impact that brings insight to all elements of how Qatar Airways develops, coaches and mentors Qatari Nationals joining Qatar Airways Group. Will conceive ideas and develop innovative learning interventions that will promote a high performance learning culture for nationals with QR Group.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Design learning interventions to further the development of nationals in line with the nationalisation strategy and as a senior member of the team, contribute to its overall management and service development.
- Responsible for the ongoing development of national development / coaching / mentoring services that are based on a defined needs assessment process linked to achieving business objectives.
- To create the conceptual underpinning for nationalisation programs and follow this through to successful management and delivery of national development.
- Define the learning strategy and short to long-term plan and be accountable to report to VP and senior leadership on current status of all programs for national talent development.
- Provide oversight of the design and implementation of the national development strategy for QR Group aligned to the business objectives. Innovate and adjust learning strategy and objectives to meet dynamic business needs to ensure national talent development has a positive impact on performance and business outcomes.
- Produce, devise and implement relevant policies and procedures specific to the development of nationals within Qatar Airways Group, creating an opportunity of growth and development within the organization.
- Accountable for the overall impact of the national development curriculum.
- Lead the Nationalisation Development initiative to achieve outstanding results linked to business imperatives - develop/performance management/deployment across Qatar Airways Group.
- Managing programs within the portfolio of leadership and personal effectiveness learning initiatives: responsible for managing suppliers, budget and design of program to ensure high standards and excellent quality.
- Measure and report on agreed evaluation and validation metrics on business impact.
- To work as required on nationalisation projects within the business, providing expertise, solutions and support to leaders across Qatar Airways Group.
- Implement innovative and practical national development initiatives that will ensure Qatar Airways leaders are fully equipped to inspire and support their teams to achieve extraordinary results.
- Develop solid relationships with Senior and Middle management to identify new learning opportunities and ensure all learning offerings are high quality culturally appropriate and effective for nationals.
- Align national development programs for nationals with QR’s approach to succession planning and career management.
- Liaise with all relevant line departments within QR Group to ensure that appropriate training needs/requirements are highlighted / established and related documentation, policies and procedures are implemented as required.
- Establish the structure and framework to implement a 70:20:10 national talent development plan within QR Group.
- Assist, prepare and submit Capital and Expense budgets as well as monitor annual costs associated with the Training Unit to meet planned growth requirements set by Qatar Airways Management.
- Conduct 1-0-1 coaching and mentoring programs, facilitate workshops and the development of action plans.

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent with a focus on Human Resources, Organisational and Leadership development.
- Expert - minimum 8 years of job-related experience required
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English language.
- Experience desired in one or more of the following disciplines: National development, Organisation development, Organisational effectiveness.
- Exposure to Diversity concepts, plans and initiatives.
- Experience in delivering best practice Nationalisation plans and initiatives within large, complex organizations.
