Fine Dining Restaurant Assistant Manager

**Starting salary**: QAR 7,000 (Full package / All in)

**Position Overview**

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the restaurant manager to oversee the daily operations and ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction. Your role will involve assisting in managing the staff, maintaining high-quality standards, maximizing revenue, and creating a memorable dining experience. You will provide support in various areas of restaurant management, including staff supervision, guest relations, operational efficiency, and financial administration.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Support**:

- Assist the restaurant manager in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
- Help develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor daily activities, address operational issues, and ensure smooth service flow.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high-quality standards in food, service, and ambiance.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.

**Staff Supervision and Training**:

- Support the manager in training, and supervising restaurant staff.
- Provide guidance and ongoing training to ensure excellent service and adherence to standards.
- Assist in creating staff schedules, managing time-off requests, and maintaining adequate staffing levels.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

**Guest Relations**:

- Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting guests as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner.
- Assist in maintaining strong guest relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Help resolve guest issues and ensure a memorable dining experience.

**Financial Administration**:

- Support the manager in financial tasks, such as monitoring revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Assist in managing inventory and controlling costs to maximize revenue and minimize waste.
- Help maintain accurate records, including cash handling, invoices, and financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and implementing strategies for financial success.

**Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Help train and educate staff on food handling, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities to interact with guests and address inquiries and concerns.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including service standards, menu items, and quality control.
- Basic understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting and cost control.
- Organizational and multitasking skills to handle various responsibilities and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
