Events and Exhibitions Manager

As a Events & Exhibitions Manager, you will be responsible to plan, coordinate, execute and manage Qatar Airways' Events and Exhibitions (e/e) which includes but not limited to New Destinations/Product Launches, Participation at Major Air Shows, Various Internal Events and to support various internal departments with their Events. Manage relationships and interactions with various HQ departments, Field Offices and Third-party vendors.

Other key responsibilities are:

- Ensure continuous evolution of overall events / exhibitions strategy evaluation, planning process, preparation and execution to ensure excellent and controlled execution Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the area of events / exhibitions
- Prepare and manage the yearly events /exhibitions budgets in line with Qatar Airways' corporate strategy
- Prepare and secure budgets for assigned event and exhibitions and ensure effective use to avoid unnecessary expenditures.
Ensure that all events, exhibitions and associated projects are executed within assigned budgets.
- Work closely with contracts department per each event and per the nature of each event and required contractual commitment
- Liaise with third parties such as event management companies, contractors, hotels, venues, organisers and suppliers to ensure all logístical and operational aspects of each event and exhibition combines to create experiences which result in best-in-class across the airline industry.
- Effective planning and execution processes to be followed to ensure optimum results through managing project plans and guidelines
- Supervise staff for each event and develop a detailed resource staff planning roster to avoid unnecessary deployment times and to maximize efficiency/productivity.
- Plan ahead all upcoming events and work according to the strategy provided by senior management

**Qualifications**:
About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Events team.
- Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
- Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
- Possess a project management background
- Proven track record in developing, planning and executing successful events and exhibitions
- Possess experience of managing multiple vendors and multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with budget forecasting and tracking
- Experience communicating at all levels of an organization
- Possess experience to work at a HQ level.
