Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We provide products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking, that best suit our customers’ needs.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:

- Implement the Wealth sales & service strategy and achieve sales & service targets for Wealth Business.
- Develop and lead the HSBC sales culture by providing coaching, guidance, technical expertise and regulatory supervision to Premier Wealth Sales Managers and their respective Wealth RMs, acting in accordance with regulatory requirements. These advisors may be based in the same branch or several branches within close geographic proximity.
- Manage and be accountable for the Premier Services Team, ensuring that Premier service standards are achieved for Premier customer enquiries and Wealth related support.
- Work with the Premier Wealth team to ensure that customers are serviced in line with the Bank's Global Premier Group standards & guidelines.
- Provide the essential pragmatic and inspirational leadership to coach, motivate and guide a team of Senior Premier Wealth Relationship Managers, Premier Wealth Relationship Managers and Premier Services Managers.
- Accountable for compliance, sales quality and Professional Standards for the Wealth sales team, ensuring the team’s function within the parameters set down in Bank operational manuals.
- Lead Wealth RMs and WPB Operating Model and other operational guidelines to achieve consistency of management of our people and delivery of service and sales to HSBC customers.
- Conduct Field Visit Observations (FVO)/ Live Observations on the job and coach WRMs on sales skills based on these FVOs on a weekly basis.
- Drive a high-performance culture through robust objective setting, performance reviews and action to address poor performance.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Professional Financial qualification CISI Level 3 certificate & J07 certificate from CII.
- University graduate with a minimum of 5 years of sales & service experience in financial services industry, some of which in the role of a sales manager.
- Proven track record as a sales leader managing teams selling financial planning solutions to high-net-worth clients.
- Experience developing sales strategies and successfully implementing them Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong financial services knowledge and experience building relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
- Experience leading sales teams in developing customized Wealth solutions for clients.
- Familiarity with financial markets and good knowledge of wealth management products including insurance & investments.
- Proven adherence to controls and compliance with no significant breaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating.
- Coaching sales techniques, best practice, and sales management on a team and one to one basis.
- Analytical skills and Problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinker, coupled with strong leadership and coaching skills and strong business acumen.
- Strong selling and presentation skills regarding wealth / insurance & investment solutions.
