**Job Title:** Planning Engineer - Project Coordinator

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer - Project Coordinator to join our team at PrecisionHire Solutions. As a Planning Engineer - Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling and project controls functions on a portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and recommend responses to Contractors' Baseline programs of works in line with Contract conditions.
  • Validate the compatibility of assigned resources for timely completion of the project.
  • Generate monthly cash projections and resource histograms.
  • Prepare consolidated reports on contractor's programs for taking Employer's consent.
  • Assist the Manager in tracking the project progress against baseline schedules.
  • Identify potential areas of delay, highlight critical events, and suggest mitigation measures to minimize those delays during progress meetings.
  • Revise internal schedules as per conclusions, design modifications, or other alternatives to be taken by Engineer's Design/Supervision Team and identify the impact on the internal schedule as a result of these actions/deficiencies.
  • Assist the team in advising Contractors for recovery plans of off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
  • Assist the team with the preparation of Project/Kick-Off meetings.
  • Update programs and prepare reports (weekly and monthly).
  • Prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Participate in project progress meetings.
  • Assist the Manager in responding to Contractors' notices by providing programming data feedback.
  • Comment on Contractors' slow progress and identify concurrent delay during the course of execution.
  • Compile correspondences, drawings, and other contemporaneous records with coordination of site staff and Contractor personnel to analyze Contractors' Extension of time claims.
  • Assess Contractors' claims.
  • Prepare Engineers' initial reports, impacted programs using suitable delay analyzing techniques to support/substantiate the Engineers' recommendations on Contractors' claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in planning and scheduling of both engineering and construction activities for infrastructure projects.
  • MMUP approval.
  • Five (5) years minimum experience working in a similar role in Qatar.
  • Proven ability to perform technical roles.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in scheduling software used in the Project Controls Department including Primavera latest version, Claim Digger, and Schedule Analyzer.
