Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundry Supervisor to join our team at IHG Hotels & Resorts. As a Laundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry facility, including receiving, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging of laundry items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Ensure the efficient operation of the laundry facility, including the management of staff, equipment, and supplies.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished laundry items for cleanliness, stains, damages, or other issues, and take corrective actions to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels of laundry supplies, detergents, fabric softeners, and other consumables, and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, loss, or theft.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of laundry staff, assign duties and responsibilities, provide training and guidance, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including production reports, inventory records, and maintenance logs, and prepare regular reports on productivity, quality, and other key performance indicators for management review.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Communication Skills: Good English communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this role.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems, such as Opera, is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, meticulous, and organized, with strong supervisory and communication skills.
