Key Responsibilities

As a Policy Regulatory Strategy Director APAC, you will be responsible for formulating regulatory engagement strategies, mapping stakeholders, and segmenting markets based on Circle's overall market expansion plans. You will review present and future regulatory requirements in target markets, collaborating with legal, compliance, and operational leaders. Your focus will be on market expansion and regulatory efforts around the world, prioritized by markets and partners. You will create regulatory consultation responses, including requests for information, comment, and other engagements with external stakeholders. Additionally, you will build coalitions with stakeholders to advance the regulatory agenda in support of the Web3 ecosystem.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need 12+ years of legal, policy, regulatory, and policymaking experience at the nexus of emerging technology, financial services, and global markets. You should have 5+ years of management experience, technical virtuosity, policy instincts, and relationships at the highest levels of government, policymaking, and regulatory matters shaping the future of money and payments. You will also need proven knowledge at the strategic and technical levels in regulatory engagement in the payments and financial service domains. In-depth knowledge of APAC policy, regulatory, legal, and licensing requirements for the payments, digital currencies, crypto-assets, and blockchain-based market is essential. Experience building cross-functional teams across geographic locations and delivering results is also required.
