About the Role:

The Error Management System Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering safety activities within their area of responsibility. This role provides a critical interface between all safety matters and personnel concerned, promoting a culture of safety at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Coordination: Assist with the implementation of the Safety Management System Exposition and processes by measuring and reporting effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Implement the regulatory Safety Management System to deliver policy and objectives, ensuring compliance with customer, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hazard Management: Facilitate and coordinate hazard management activities using the regulatory process, escalating issues to relevant members of the organization.
  • Safety Information Administration: Administer all safety information utilizing IT solutions.
  • Investigation and Review: Conduct Maintenance Error Investigations (MEI) and coordinate maintenance error reports.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate all safety issues within the business area, collecting and analyzing data to support safety metrics and oversight.
  • Training and Competence: Review, monitor, and report staff competencies, supporting training for safety aspects of defined roles.
  • Communication and Awareness: Promote a safety culture within the area of responsibility, providing advice and guidance on safety matters.
Performance Indicators:
  • Delivery Performance: Ensure effective provision of safety activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.
  • Activity Completion: Ensure all safety activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems.
  • Procedure and Standards: Lead Safety's compliance with the safety exposition, its associated procedures, and standards, driving change as required while ensuring compliance.
  • Safety Management System: Apply Human Factors and Error Management philosophies to all safety activities, understanding risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Management System Assurance: Ensure all safety activities are compliant with the Governance and Assurance framework, managing audit findings and implementing improvements.
  • Statutory and Regulatory Requirements: Demonstrate detailed understanding and application of relevant continuing airworthiness regulatory frameworks.
  • Contractual Requirements: Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements through support to contract reviews and incorporation of required changes into safety processes.
