Hydraulic Modeling Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Modeling Specialist to join our team at Duncan & Ross. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining hydraulic models using InfoWorks WS Pro software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model Development: Create and refine hydraulic models to analyze pressurized pipe networks, ensuring accuracy and integrity of model data for effective analysis and reporting.
  • Simulation and Analysis: Perform simulations to assess system performance under various scenarios and identify potential issues, recommending design changes as needed.
  • Data Management: Gather, organize, and validate data related to pipe networks, including flow rates, pressures, and material specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to implement enhancements and validate their impact on system performance.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders, documenting methodologies and maintaining records of model configurations and analysis outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic modeling, specifically with pressurized pipe networks.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in InfoWorks WS Pro software is essential.
  • Hydraulic Principles: Excellent understanding of hydraulic principles and water distribution systems.
  • GIS Software: Experience with GIS software and data integration is a plus.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 based on industry standards and location. This range may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
