About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Professional to join our marine operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a safe and responsible work environment across our bases and vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Petro Services' policies and procedures as per Company IMS, ensuring compliance with regional requirements and national legislation.
  • Standardize HSEQ documents, aligning them with regional regulations and national standards.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and certification of Petro Services against ISO standards.
  • Prepare and communicate monthly HSE reports and figures, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Collect, analyze, and follow up on fleet HSE KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Oversee local company HSE initiatives, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Organize training programs and seminars, conducting inductions for new employees and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety committee meetings, maintaining accurate records and facilitating open communication.
  • Conduct regular site and vessel visits for safety compliance inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analysis.
  • Perform internal and external audits as required, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety programs through regular inspections, improving overall safety performance.
  • Audit contractors' safety programs, ensuring they meet Petro Services' standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of accident/injury reporting and conduct incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Verify that employees' medical certifications are up to date and compliant with company and client requirements.
Skills and Requirements
  • Education: A degree qualification or equivalent professional registration is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience: 3-5 years as an HSEQ Coordinator.
  • Quality Systems: Experience in implementing quality management systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Training: Proven ability to train and mentor personnel in HSE.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of security issues relevant to the country.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel offshore and adapt to business needs.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
