About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Governance Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of electronic health records.

About the Job:

  1. Manage and maintain electronic health records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  2. Analyze health data and provide insights to enhance patient care and operational efficiencies.
  3. Ensure adherence to health information privacy laws and ethical standards.
  4. Lead initiatives for implementing electronic health record systems.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline health information protocols.
  6. Conduct audits of health information systems to identify improvement areas.
  7. Provide training and support to staff on health information management systems.
  8. Develop and implement policies regarding health data management and security.
  9. Work with IT teams to optimize data management solutions.
  10. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to address compliance issues.
  11. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health information regulations and trends.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders regarding health data management.
  13. Resolve discrepancies in health records promptly and efficiently.
  14. Facilitate communication between departments on health information issues.
  15. Support the development of strategic plans for health information technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field, Master's preferred.
  • Certification in Health Information Management (e.g., RHIT, RHIA).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health information management.
  • Proven knowledge of health data preservation and confidentiality laws.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with clinical coding and classification systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in health information software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience leading training sessions and workshops.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Understanding of data governance and quality assurance measures.
  • Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
