Job Description

Brunel Qatar is seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of alternate offers to ensure integrity, engineering, and functional requirements are met.
  • Provide post-order drawing approvals prior to manufacturing to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform re-engineering of old and obsolete materials and equipment, proposing new technologies and specifications for modification and replacement.
  • Recommend and implement technical improvements or enhancements identified through the evaluation process.
  • Liaise with vendors, manufacturers, buyers, material coordinators, and end-users to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Address pre- and post-order clarifications and technical issues related to supplier/manufacturer requests for waivers against specifications.
  • Oversee the tracking of technical evaluations allocated within the discipline, ensuring timely completion.
  • Supervise and mentor subordinates to promote best work techniques, practices, and planning.
