Job Title: Reverse Osmosis Specialist- RO

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reverse Osmosis Specialist to join our team at Management Solutions International MSI. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze RO plant equipment performance in accordance with standard operating procedures and plant performance data.
  • Responsible for all RO plant operation and maintenance, including review of periodical reports and submission to the Operation Manager.
  • Day-to-day operations and maintenance, including review of normalization charts, chemical consumption, and water analysis reports.
  • Responsible for all RO plant production needs, including restoring capacity shortfalls within acceptable time frames.
  • Attend meetings with customers, clients, and contractors as necessary.
  • Support District cooling plant operation and maintenance activities as required.
  • Operate and monitor the performance of Ultrafiltration & Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum quality of permeate water.
  • Maintain and operate treatment plant systems with required chemical treatment process.
  • Ensure adequate supply of chemicals, consumables, and spares related to all RO plants.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for periodical analysis and chemical dosing rate adjustments.
  • Ensure appropriate usage and storage of water treatment chemicals at site, following HSE requirements.
  • Responsible for RO plant-related tender scope of works, tender evaluation, and preparing technical evaluation reports.
  • Responsible for detailed scope of work preparation, support to MQ Engineering for any new RFP.
  • Responsible for any new UF-RO plant submittal review, review of T&C documents, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with plant operators to ensure flawless supply of water as per demand.
  • Responsible to follow safe start-up and safe shutdown of RO plant, flushing out of RO membrane with RO permeate while stopping the plant.
  • Ensure screen filter operation, ensure screen filter auto-cleaning operation.
  • Communicate to Operation Manager about abnormalities/malfunctions of equipment found during 24x7 operation, ensure all safety standards are followed.
  • Assist maintenance team to carry out Preventive Maintenance as per schedule, involvement with maintenance team for membrane replacement and pressure vessel cleaning activities.
  • Conduct periodical SDI test and conductivity RO probe test as and when required.
  • Responsible for periodical CIP/RC process based on normalization chart, coordination with plant supervisor for planning CIP/RC process.
  • Fully responsible for RO operator training and development from time to time.
  • Responsible for witnessing UF-RO plant performance test by EPC contractor.
  • Responsible to prepare standard operating procedure for UF-RO plant operation for all DCP, CIP procedure for both UF-RO.
  • Responsible for yearly performance audit of all RO plants and report submission.
  • Responsible to identify critical spares and consumables for UF-RO equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining RO chemical stock for all DCP, record consumption details, and compare all DCP chemical consumption cost details.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma in chemistry, bachelor's degree in chemistry/biotechnology.
  • Master's degree in chemistry/biotechnology is preferred.

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience in TSE RO plant Operation & Maintenance activities from GCC.
  • Hands-on experience of TSE RO plant operations & maintenance with adequate knowledge of chemical water treatment process.
