About the Role

As a Senior Manager GSE Maintenance and Fleet Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective management of operational equipment maintenance operations to provide a safe and reliable operational equipment fleet. Your overall responsibility will be for the development of strategies and concepts associated with workshop management and associated engineering support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic maintenance programs based on industry best practices, with a focus on preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Lead the engineering department management team in shaping strategic and tactical plans to improve operational performance and position the company as a best practice people-focused ground equipment maintenance service provider.
  • Direct and control all aspects of GSE workshop daily operations and outputs, ensuring high standards of maintenance operations to meet service level agreements.
  • Review the operation, performance, and reliability of assets maintained to minimize unplanned downtime, proactively anticipate problems, and ensure safe operation.
  • Implement best practices and efficient operations that support airside operations, facilitating effective decision-making and providing accurate and timely reporting.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement, including with recruitment, procurement, finance, and IT teams.
  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute maintenance service agreements and service level agreements with subsidiaries.
  • Make decisions based on facts and analysis, set against business needs.
  • Organize, plan, and deliver a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and vehicles to maintain the highest standards of performance.
  • Maintain effective technical records for all engineering activities, as required by ISAGO and other associated bodies.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement measures across all functional areas of the workshop.
  • Ensure high engineering standards are maintained through robust internal assurance mechanisms, such as inspections and spot checks on quality of work.
  • Maintain the highest standards of workshop cleanliness, organization, and safety through personal leadership and intervention.
