Role Overview

The successful candidate will have a diverse range of qualities, competencies and experience. As an adaptable and inspiring educator, they will be able to deliver a coherent, integrated, broad, inquiry-based programme in performing arts.

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement PYP, MYP policy and strategic plans in the performing arts department.
  • To plan, prepare and teach lessons in drama and music to students in the whole school.
  • To coordinate and manage sound engineering for events and perform in musicals.
  • To contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme of the school, including developing the performing arts programme in the community.
  • To participate in professional learning and contribute to regular staff training or meetings.
  • To use technology to support performing arts learning, especially through the use of a Virtual Learning Environment and digital music, dance and drama resources.
  • To develop a positive attitude between performing arts and the wider community through cooperative relations, publications, competitions etc.
