We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Brunel Qatar. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a robust Electrical engineering definition and fit-for-purpose design that meets the requirements of International Standards, COMPANY standards, project Basis of Design, and SOR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Design: Ensure and coordinate the proper realization of the Electrical design in compliance with International Standards, COMPANY Standards, project specifications and procedures, time schedule, required level of quality and safety.
  • Design Development: Challenge Contractors on the proposed design, oversee the development of the Electrical design, including electrical cable layout/schedule, load list, equipment datasheets, sizing calculation, schematic drawings, tie-in list, etc.
  • Field Optimization: Promote field technical optimization/cost savings, ensuring first that they are compliant with the project schedule and the contracts, liaising with the NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
  • Design Alternatives: Promote alternatives for design in brownfield environment to reduce and to optimize the offshore installations weight & duration.
  • Technical Decisions: Identify Electrical engineering technical decisions to be made. Define and manage clear way forward for these decisions to be made and report to NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
  • Weight Control: Work with weight control engineer and engineering team to ensure close weight monitoring and control of weight.
  • LLI Identification: Contribute to the proper realization of the identification and specification of the LLI.
  • Discipline Coordination: Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters.
  • Feedback and Lessons Learned: Ensure that relevant feedback/lesson learned from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance.
  • Project Support: Assist in planning and preparation of Electrical discipline kick-off meeting with Contractor.
  • Procurement Support: Support procurement engineering including Technical Bid Evaluations and vendor documents review, and assist in manufacturer site visits.
  • Fabrication and Construction Support: Support fabrication and construction engineering on review of engineering documents, modification approval, non-conformity reviews and assist in closer of punch lists.
  • Installation and Hookup Support: Support project during installation and hookup stage and review/approval work-pack, review of red-marks.
