About the Role

Tanqeeb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design team in Qatar. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Electrical Design Expertise: Develop and implement electrical design solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.
  2. Project Leadership: Lead electrical design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Design and Development: Design and develop electrical systems, including single-line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and load schedules.
  4. Deliverables: Prepare and issue electrical design deliverables, including electrical design basis, specifications, and standards.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery.
  6. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical design tools, software, and technologies, including SKM, ETAP, and SPEL.
  7. Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers to develop their skills and expertise.
  8. Commercial and Technical Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial and technical risks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  9. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their expectations.
  10. Site Surveys and Data Gathering: Conduct site surveys and gather data to inform electrical design solutions.
  11. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical design deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Qualifications:
  1. Engineering Degree: Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design and project leadership.
  3. Skills and Knowledge: Possess strong electrical design skills, including design experience in the Oil & Gas sector, and familiarity with electrical design tools such as SPEL and Aveva Electrical.
  4. Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
  5. Customer Focus: Show a customer-focused approach, with the ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives.
  6. Analytical and Innovation Skills: Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
