We are seeking a highly experienced individual to join our Group Risk, Safety & Security team as a Geopolitical Threat and Risk Manager, based in Doha, Qatar.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the intelligence research and analysis function of the Qatar Airways Geopolitical Threat and Risk team, focusing on the identification of potential security threats to QR people, assets, and operations.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in aviation security threat and risk management, as well as a strong grasp of intelligence and data analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the implementation of the team's short, medium-, and long-term strategy to ensure alignment with company and departmental strategic objectives.
  2. Develop and produce high-quality analytical products to provide strategic outlook and forecasting in the context of global security threats across the Qatar Airways network.
  3. Supervise the periodic review of airspace and/or ground-based security threats and deliver outcomes to relevant stakeholder groups.
  4. Ensure a thorough understanding of security threats to Qatar Airways operations, people, and assets within host state territory and its airspace through the Global Security Risk Register (GSRR).
  5. Develop effective communication strategies to convey timely and accurate strategic security threat information to various stakeholders.
  6. Assess proposed new Qatar Airways stations and charter destinations to identify security threats and vulnerabilities in respect of Qatar Airways operations, people, and assets.
  7. Lead the assessment of security threats to Qatar Airways, producing airspace and ground assessments to inform operational decision-making.
  8. Support the 24/7 Threat and Risk team 'on call' capability to ensure timely responses to security incidents and crisis events across the Qatar Airways network.
