About the Role:

The Sports Events Manager - Commercial Strategy will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive the growth and profitability of Qatar Airways' sports portfolio. This includes building and delivering sports travel products that meet the needs of our customers and maximize sales of sporting events held in Qatar and assets worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive the growth and profitability of Qatar Airways' sports portfolio.
  • Build and deliver sports travel products that meet the needs of our customers and maximize sales of sporting events held in Qatar and assets worldwide.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop and deliver products to market in line with the commercial plan.
  • Oversee the statistical analysis and product performance to ensure increased profitability of the sports packages.
  • Be accountable for KPIs and budgets for measuring success, providing commercial modeling and sales forecasting of sporting event products.
  • Identify opportunities for creating travel packages and experiences across the sports sponsorships portfolio, maximizing use of agreed rights and benefits across different properties.
  • Develop and deliver products to market in line with the commercial plan, working closely with the sales and marketing teams.
  • Contribute to department reporting and forecast sales modeling on a project-by-project basis.

About You:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with:

  • 7+ years of job-related experience
  • Experience of strong client focus and sales
  • Sports projects background
  • An understanding of sports travel and major sporting events, including FIFA World Cup, F1, and European Football
