Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement commercial strategies, ensuring effective risk management and maximum return on existing contracts.
  2. Lead commercial responses for tenders, working closely with bid teams to ensure accurate pricing and contractual elements.
  3. Review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions to ensure company liabilities and legal obligations are clearly defined and communicated.
  4. Conduct due diligence on clients, partners, and subcontractors as necessary.
  5. Identify, manage, and report on key risks and issues.
  6. Manage contractual disputes and claims.
  7. Provide commercial input to contract change processes and approval of new opportunities.
  8. Ensure contracting activity complies with company best practice guidelines.
  9. Draft and negotiate sub-contracts to manage contractual risk.
  10. Oversee contract administration, reviews, amendments, and incentive performance to ensure cost recovery and accounting.
  11. Prepare annual project budgets and re-forecasts, and consolidated divisional operational budgets and forecasts.
  12. Conduct periodic contract audits and reviews.
  13. Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal support functions.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or BSC in Quantity Surveying, with professional membership of a relevant institute (RICS, MICArb).
  2. Minimum 15 years of commercial management experience.
  3. Preferably from a contracting background, with experience on EPC projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
  4. Previous roles such as Project Commercial and Contracts Manager.
  5. Gulf experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
