We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Engineer to join our team at Minor International. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining seamless co-ordination and cooperation with all departments to ensure maximum productivity, morale, and guest service.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) and minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel or facility maintenance. They will also possess knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues across different departments.
  2. Provide support to the team to enable them to deliver efficient services.
  3. Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely manner.
  4. Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
  5. Ensure that the team is trained on all safety provisions.
  6. Optimize the use of resources and educate the team on cost-effective practices.
  7. Monitor temperature control systems and electrical equipment.
  8. Coordinate regular servicing and testing of equipment with other departments.
  9. Verify adherence to safety measures and maintain fire fighting equipment.
  10. Supervise operations of Air-conditioning plant, boilers, pumps, and water storage tanks.
  11. Stay updated on technological advances in surveillance and safety equipment.
