This role involves leading the implementation of engineering data management systems for our projects at Brunel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective data management practices and providing technical data leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective data management strategies to ensure data integrity and consistency across the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to identify and address data-related risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of IM-specific reporting methodologies and tools.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and control of data storage and transfer architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • BA or BSc, professional qualification; however, any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in engineering or Computer Science.
  • 15 years' experience associated with Information Systems and reporting, preferably within the Oil & Gas Construction Industry.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design Systems preferably SPF, Bentley, and Aveva.
  • Experience in responsible roles on major oil & gas engineering & construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems preferably Documentum and Engineering Data Warehouse preferably AVEVA.
  • Experience with conducting audits & assessing process-driven quality systems.
  • Experience in completing and delivering high standard data projects and managing, implementing data systems.
  • A thorough knowledge of Documentation processes, codes, and standards relating to final document handovers working within a structured Quality Management System.
  • Strong IT and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Good supervisory skills.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong skills using MS Office.
  • Strong skills in using Power BI, MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
