We invite applications for an Upper Elementary Teacher position at Hayat Universal School (HUBS), a leading educational institution in Qatar. As an Upper Elementary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.

About the Role:

  • Teach multiple subjects to students in grades 4-7, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students, incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop curriculum, and improve student outcomes, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Organize enrichment activities, such as field trips, showcases, and performances, to foster a love of learning and creativity among students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and successful student progression.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjust instruction accordingly, using formative and summative assessments.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay updated on best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives, promoting a culture of lifelong learning.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to school policies and procedures, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Support the school's mission by promoting a culture of academic excellence, inclusivity, and respect, fostering a positive and supportive school environment.
  • Engage in ongoing self-reflection, seeking feedback and coaching to continually improve teaching practices, staying adaptable and responsive to changing circumstances.
  • Embrace technology to enhance teaching, learning, and communication, leveraging digital tools to promote engagement and understanding.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive school environment, fostering relationships with colleagues, students, and parents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the school administration, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, responding to emerging needs and priorities.

About the Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting.
  • Teaching Credential/License, preferably from Canada or a recognized jurisdiction.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality education, promoting student-centered learning, and embracing diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Willingness to undergo continuous professional development, staying updated on best practices and contributing to school-wide initiatives.

The salary range for this position is CAD 41,000 - 58,000 per year, based on years of experience and qualifications.
