Main Responsibilities:

  1. Wash and peel ingredients for dish preparation.
  2. Maintain high-quality mise en place as per senior staff guidelines.
  3. Efficiently set up and replenish buffets.
  4. Support superiors in requisition pickup and storage organization.
  5. Monitor ingredient stock levels and inform superiors when low.
  6. Store ingredients in dedicated containers, labeling according to standard.
  7. Adhere to food safety standards for cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, tools, utensils, and areas.
  8. Report any kitchen cleanliness and maintenance issues to superiors.
  9. Maintain strict personal hygiene at all times.
  10. Follow Food Safety Standards set by Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Qatar Municipality regulations.

Requirements:

  1. High School qualification or equivalent required.
  2. Degree in Hospitality/Culinary arts preferred.
  3. A minimum of 1 year of culinary experience working as Cook I or II in a high-volume hotel or restaurant is preferred.
  4. Basic food hygiene knowledge preferred.
