As a key member of our hospitality team at Crew Life at Sea, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences in our lobby lounge area. Your role will serve as the first point of contact for guests as they enter the lounge, and you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our guests have a pleasant and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Greet and welcome guests with a smile and provide personalized service to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  2. Offer expert recommendations on menu items and assist guests with seating to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
  3. Take orders accurately and efficiently, serving food and beverages to guests in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  4. Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs by providing proactive service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized lobby lounge area, adhering to the highest standards of safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all guests.
  6. Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a courteous and professional manner, following up to ensure complete satisfaction.
  7. Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction.
  8. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery, maintaining effective communication and coordination throughout the shift.
  9. Follow all policies and procedures to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, supporting the well-being and development of colleagues.
  10. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on menu items, company policies, and best practices in guest services.
  11. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease and efficiency.
  4. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  5. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet business demands.
  6. Familiarity with food and beverage menu items, with the ability to describe options clearly and concisely to guests.
  7. Basic math skills and cash handling abilities, with a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment safely, with a focus on maintaining physical well-being and preventing injury.
