Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Civil 3D and BIM technologies. As a BIM Civil 3D Modeler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality 3D models required for drawing preparation, clash detection, and presentation aligned with project LOD requirements and modeling standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and QS.
  • Evaluate the coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Ensure all models, drawings, and deliverables meet project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
  • Prepare engineering drawings from the model that includes basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, sections, etc.
  • Extract 2D geometry from models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Deliver Project Information Models (PIM's) in accordance with agreed TIDP, MIDP, and CDE protocol.
  • Prepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
  • Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Civil 3D with in-depth knowledge of current Civil 3D versions.
  2. Proficiency in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Civil 3D).
  3. Experience in dry utilities services is essential.
  4. Ability to demonstrate setting up new Civil 3D project files for the team, strong problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability.
  5. Expertise in producing Civil 3D Families according to project requirements.
  6. Ability to maintain standards and library of Civil 3D families/objects and run clash detection in Civil 3D.
  7. Expert knowledge of Civil 3D including parametric, Bill of Material generation, assemblies, sub-assemblies, family creation, etc.
  8. Advanced Civil 3D skills including federated model creation using Civil 3D Links, working with Civil 3D Work sets, and professional use of shared coordinates.
  9. Proficiency in BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations, and Collaboration Platforms: well-versed in Civil3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD.
  10. Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
  11. Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.).
  12. Proficiency in ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Revit, Sketchup, 3D Max, Dynamo.
