Job Title: Electrical and Power Engineering Support Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Power Engineering Support Specialist to join our team at Trace Systems Inc. The successful candidate will provide power engineering support in various areas, including generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) systems, battery strings, electrical distribution, and Grounding, Bonding, and Shielding (GBS).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. **Provide Power Engineering Support:**
  2. Develop and review architectural and engineering management plans for assigned projects and provide to the Government for review.
  3. Perform site surveys.
  4. Conduct pre and post site surveys of E&I projects and provide a written report of findings and engineering guidance to the 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate Battalion HQs.
  5. Provide technical support to ensure timely resolution of equipment outages.
  6. Provide support with routine facility management.
  7. Prepare project cost estimates for Government review.
  8. Prepare and review project time schedules.
  9. Analyze project proposals, providing technical review of design calculations, analyses, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
  10. Provide input to the KO, COR, or their designated representatives during construction contract negotiation and administration of the resulting contract.
  11. Coordinate all design phases with the appropriate managers, engineers, and staff elements.
  12. Maintain current engineering data and milestones for assigned projects.
  13. Participate in meetings with contractors and project sponsors.
  14. Advise the Government on inspection, maintenance, and repair standards.
  15. Recommend new infrastructure equipment installations and modifications to facilities to accommodate new communications equipment in support of mission requirements and reflective of new technologies.
  16. Evaluate programs and projects to assure compliance with all environmental, energy use, safety, and security standards.
Requirements:
  1. **Eligibility:**
  2. Due to Qatar's immigration and labor regulations, candidates must be 59 years of age or younger to be eligible for a Qatari work visa as required for this position.
  3. **Security Clearance:**
  4. An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  5. **Citizenship:**
  6. Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  7. **Experience:**
  8. A minimum of five (5) years experience in the engineering of buildings and equipment such as HVAC, and low voltage (under 600 volts) electrical power systems and equipment.
  9. **Knowledge:**
  10. Knowledge of applicable construction standards, methods, practices and techniques, materials, and equipment to determine compliance with regulations and standards.
  11. **Skills:**
  12. Experience with work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds.
  13. Automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively complete assignments.
  14. Project programming, determining types of resources, and long-range planning (Facilities Engineering, Electrical, and Power Engineering personnel).
  15. Planning, conducting, and recording surveys and reviewing Government inspections (Facilities Engineering, and Engineering Technician and Drafting personnel).
  16. Experience using CADD system to develop engineering drawings (Engineering Technician and Drafting personnel) for Government review.
  17. Experience using AutoCAD format CADD drafting software. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  18. **Certifications:**
  19. Familiar with National Electrical, Mechanical, and Building codes.
  20. Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  21. Journeyman Electrical License preferred.
  22. **Education:**
  23. A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
