Company Overview

The Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is a luxurious hotel that offers a unique lifestyle and exceptional services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join our team.

Job Summary

The Director of Food and Beverage will be responsible for overseeing the management of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and motivate a diverse team to deliver exceptional service and high-quality food and beverage experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that each outlet is managed by a Management Team who are accountable for their profitability.
  • To coordinate the formulation of the Annual Operating Budget and determine outlet projected revenues and expenses.
  • To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them.
  • To ensure that the Department Operational Budget is strictly adhered to.
  • To ensure that all outlets and banquet facilities are managed efficiently according to established concept statements.
  • To represent the Food and Beverage Department on the hotel's Executive Committee.
  • To recruit and select Food and Beverage Heads of Department who can work within a decentralized management philosophy.
  • To monitor service and food and beverage standards in all outlets and banquets.
  • To handle all guest complaints, requests, and enquiries on food, beverage, and service.
  • To establish a rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
  • To ensure that all Departmental Operations Manuals are prepared and updated.
  • To coordinate the formulation of the Annual Marketing Plan to establish a list of marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in a senior food and beverage management role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, operations, and best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
