The BIM Coordinator role at lxbfYeaa requires a highly skilled professional to assist in the coordination and execution of BIM projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BIM workflow management, data conversion, and clash detection.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement project-specific BIM guidelines for technicians and ensure seamless data exchange across disciplines.
  2. Leverage advanced BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring to project teams.
  3. Maintain and manage project content, sourcing additional resources as needed.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to assign information requirements and support BIM Specialist activities.
  5. Effectively communicate changes in procedure and standards to project teams.
  6. Cultivate strong relationships across project teams through effective communication and support.
  7. Coordinate production and reviews of information models across disciplines.
  8. Extract and verify information model quantities.
  9. Utilize 4D construction sequencing/simulation tools like Autodesk Navisworks or Synchro.
  10. Provide technical support to staff and ensure design standards align with CAD/BIM/GIS strategy.
  11. Guide design projects to ensure optimal setup and progression.
  12. Monitor and report on BIM implementation within the Department.
  13. Align with the Corporate BIM team in PWA.

Your Profile

">
  • Hold a University degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in architecture or civil engineering on major buildings and/or infrastructure projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in BIM projects and software like Revit/Civil3D, Navisworks, Solibri, Synchro.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Arabic language skills.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Show experience working in Qatar and/or the Gulf region.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of BIM procedures and integration with other applications.
  • Display technical proficiency in all aspects of BIM and interfacing/interpreting engineering requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to build effective working relationships within complex structures, both internally and with various project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of using information models for measurement, construction scheduling, and cost management is desirable.
  • Demonstrate expertise in creation, analysis, and simulation of information models within the project delivery and asset operation lifecycle.
  • Exhibit advanced skills in software supporting creation, analysis, simulation e.g., Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks.
  • Knowledge in software for automation of routines to support standards and improve productivity like Synchro, CATO/Cost X, Solibri, Infraworks, Dynamo is desirable.
  • Expertise in clash detection and coordination of all services per design standards.
  • Experience in model-based drawing production.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of 3D rendering and visualization.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of COBie specification and ability to export files from models.
  • Demonstrate expertise in content creation such as parametric families and type catalogues.
