Job Summary

Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the delivery of IT projects and programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of interrelated projects, establishing scheduling, delivery, and resource dependencies, and risk management across the projects to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective program delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery: Take ownership of the delivery of assigned programs and ensure projects under that are delivered within agreed cost and timescales.
  • Project Management: Ensure that available resources across on-site/offshore are optimally utilized within the program to achieve the objectives and success of the program.
  • Project Planning: Ensure that the list of projects to be undertaken along with key attributes such as business priority is defined and maintained.
  • Project Governance: Ensure that any specific standards and procedures to be followed by all the projects/sub-projects in the program are clearly defined, communicated to the individual Project teams across the stakeholders, and complied with.
  • Risk Management: Ensure that risks from individual projects are consolidated, prioritized based on risk exposure, and resources are focused to manage risks with the highest impact on the program.
  • Program Planning: Ensure that a consolidated work program plan is established and maintained based on high-level planning output from individual projects.
  • Reporting: Ensure that summary reports of all projects in the program are provided to relevant stakeholders in regular time intervals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor Degree with minimum 8 years of job-related experience or Diploma with minimum 9 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience: Experience in leading IT projects, with at least 3 years of experience in delivering large work programs or transformational projects like Agile transformation, Digital transformation, etc.
  • IT PMO Experience: IT PMO experience (Cloud Migration Experience) is required.
  • AI Knowledge: AI knowledge is preferred – experience working within AI space, AI initiatives, AI Governance framework would be an added advantage.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP certification or demonstrable Project Management experience.
  • Program Management Experience: Programme management experience.
  • Vendor and Change Management: Experience in Vendor and Change management.
