About the Role

McDermott is seeking a highly skilled Senior QHSES Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on quality management principles and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and reports.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality-related projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CA) activities to resolve quality-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality management, or a related field, preferably in the EPC construction or fabrication industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management principles, standards, and regulations, including ISO 9001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience with quality management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement concepts and principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
