Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of critical software applications to ensure they meet business requirements and run efficiently.
  • Plan and execute software updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain application stability and performance.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Manage a team of application support specialists and developers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance on technical issues.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with software vendors and service providers to ensure proper support and negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize application enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and budget for operational and new initiatives in coordination with Finance, ensuring compliance with KPIs.
  • Research and propose enhancements to the application landscape for Qatar Rail, driving innovation and improvement.

Project Management:

  • Lead application-related projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and integrations, developing project plans and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Coordinate with other IT and business teams to ensure smooth project execution and minimize disruptions.
