Logistics Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Madre Integrated Engineering Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking the movement of inventory and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning: Utilize transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning, and scheduling, including customs and trade applications.
  • Scheduling: Prepare and update monthly logistics schedules to ensure deliveries to customer sites.
  • Tracking: Coordinate daily activities to track the location and movement of inventory and finished goods via all transport modes, and re-route freight as needed to meet demands and minimize costs.
  • Service Providers & Import/Export Documentation: Work closely with transport service providers and brokers to ensure efficient and effective processes, assist in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes, and prepare proper transportation paperwork and import/export documentation.
  • Data Management: Support the development and implementation of improved processes and systems, and maintain master data.
  • Supplier Performance: Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality) and resolve performance issues.
  • Product Classification: Work with suppliers and local manufacturers to ensure proper product classification for delivered products (HS code) is mapped.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of logistics and transportation principles, as well as experience with transportation software systems, is essential.
