Role Overview

This Senior ITS Engineer – Traffic Signals role is responsible for providing technical expertise in traffic signal design, implementation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement traffic signal systems to meet the needs of the transportation network.
  • Coordinate traffic signal maintenance contracts and future ITS contracts, resources, and third-party support.
  • Monitor and manage the traffic signal maintenance contractors' performance measures, such as response times.
  • Carry out feasibility studies to assess the viability of different traffic signal maintenance options and provide recommendations based on cost-benefit analysis.

About You

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant subject is required.
  • Chartered Membership in Engineering or relevant professional body is an advantage.
  • Current/valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years' cumulative experience in a relevant field.
