Roles and responsibilities

This position is responsible for supervising daily spa operations, ensuring guests receive top-quality service, and supporting the spa team. This role involves managing team members schedules, maintaining spa standards, and assisting in the implementation of wellness programs.

Supervise spa team members, including therapists, attendants, and receptionists, ensuring adherence to service standards.
Assist in team members training, performance evaluations, and development programs.
Coordinate weekly schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Maintain a welcoming and serene atmosphere throughout the spa.
Handle guest inquiries, appointments, and service bookings efficiently.
Ensure all spa equipment and facilities are maintained and operational.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies.
Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Support the Director of Spa in achieving financial targets and operational goals.
Staff Management
Supervise Spa Staff: Oversee the performance of spa therapists, receptionists, and other staff members. Ensure staff are well-trained, motivated, and adhere to company standards and procedures.
Staff Scheduling: Create work schedules for spa staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and ensure no staff shortages. Adjust staffing levels based on customer demand.
Training and Development: Conduct training for new staff and provide ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure team members are up to date on treatments, products, and customer service skills.
Conduct Performance Reviews: Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance appraisals to ensure high-quality service is maintained.

Desired candidate profile

Diploma or certification in Spa Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a spa environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and services.
Proficiency in spa management software.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Guest Services and Satisfaction
Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guests have a positive experience from arrival to departure. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain Treatment Standards: Ensure all treatments are performed according to spa protocols and service standards. Ensure the safety, health, and comfort of all guests.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of spa services, products, and treatment options to assist guests in making informed decisions.
Upselling: Promote additional services, products, or packages that may enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Spa Operations and Maintenance
Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth daily operations, including managing bookings, overseeing treatments, and ensuring equipment and supplies are ready for use.
Maintain Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure that the spa, including treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and common spaces, is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory of spa products, towels, linens, and other supplies. Ensure stock is reordered when needed and that waste is minimized.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all treatments and practices comply with health and safety regulations and spa industry standards.
