1. Lesson Planning and Curriculum Delivery:
Developing Lesson Plans: Design engaging, age-appropriate lessons across a variety of subjects (such as literacy, mathematics, science, history, geography, art, music, and physical education). The lessons should align with national or local curriculum standards.
Differentiated Instruction: Tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all learners—regardless of ability—are supported. This may involve adapting teaching methods, providing extra assistance for struggling students, or challenging advanced learners with enrichment activities.
Use of Technology: Incorporate technology and digital tools into lessons to enhance learning and engage students in creative ways, such as using interactive whiteboards, educational apps, or multimedia resources.
2. Classroom Management:
Establishing Classroom Rules: Set clear expectations for behavior and create a positive, safe classroom environment where students feel respected, valued, and motivated to learn.
Maintaining Discipline: Implement strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring that disruptions are minimized and students stay on task.
Fostering Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with students based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Encourage social and emotional growth, promoting kindness, cooperation, and conflict resolution skills.
3. Assessment and Monitoring Student Progress:
Formative and Summative Assessments: Regularly assess students' understanding through tests, quizzes, assignments, group work, and classroom discussions. Use this information to adjust teaching strategies and address any gaps in knowledge.
Individual Progress Tracking: Monitor each student's academic, social, and emotional development. Maintain detailed records of assessments, observations, and students' achievements.
Providing Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on students' work, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Encourage students to take ownership of their learning by setting goals and reflecting on their progress.
