Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Head of Photography to join our team. The role is responsible for leading the creative direction and managing the photo team to produce high-quality lifestyle, food, and interior photography.

Lead creative direction for photoshoots, ensuring artistic vision aligns with project goals
Utilize advanced lighting techniques to enhance visual outcomes
Capture high-quality images across lifestyle, food, and interior photography
Manage, mentor, and oversee junior photographers, ensuring their development and adherence to project timelines
Collaborate with creative teams to understand and meet client requirements
Develop conceptual ideas for shoots, integrating innovative techniques and creative solutions
Manage budgets and project costs, ensuring financial efficiency in production
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of photography trends, tools, and techniques
Oversee project timelines and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality
Ability to propose and develop new business opportunities
Creative Direction and Vision
Developing Visual Strategy: Set the creative direction for all photography projects, ensuring that images align with the brand's message, values, and marketing goals.
Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent visual aesthetic across all platforms, including digital, print, and social media, to reinforce the brand's identity.
Photo Shoot Concepts: Develop concepts and creative briefs for photo shoots, collaborating with other creative professionals such as art directors, stylists, and makeup artists to execute ideas.
Trend Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative photography techniques to keep the brand's visual content fresh and relevant.
Team Management and Leadership
Team Supervision: Lead a team of photographers, photo editors, and assistants, providing guidance, feedback, and creative input.
Staff Development: Mentor and develop junior photographers and creative staff, offering opportunities for skill growth and fostering a collaborative, creative environment.
Scheduling and Coordination: Oversee the scheduling of photo shoots, ensuring that resources, such as equipment and locations, are available and efficiently managed.
Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews of photography team members, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.

Desired candidate profile

Minimum 10 years of professional photography experience
Expertise in lighting and studio setups
Proficiency in lifestyle, food, and interior photography
Strong conceptual thinking skills to ideate and execute creative projects
Experience in financial management and budget oversight for photography projects
Strong time management and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with clients
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards
Project Management
Photo Shoot Execution: Oversee all aspects of photography production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing, ensuring high standards and meeting deadlines.
Budget Management: Manage the budget for photography projects, including costs for equipment, locations, talent, props, and editing.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, advertising, and product design to understand project goals and ensure photography supports business objectives.
Client/Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with internal stakeholders, clients, or external partners to understand their visual content needs and deliver the required results.
Quality Control and Editing Oversight
Image Selection: Review and approve images for final selection, ensuring they meet the company's standards of quality, creativity, and technical excellence.
Post-Production Supervision: Oversee the post-production process, including editing, retouching, and color correction to ensure the final images meet the desired quality standards.
Maintaining Visual Integrity: Ensure that the integrity of the original vision is maintained during post-production and editing processes.
