**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Continuous Improvement and Transformation Department as Head of FBI. This role is responsible for supporting the development, planning and implementation of the financial strategy, providing business analytics to deliver sustainable profit by maximizing revenue and profit generation while minimizing costs and inefficiencies across all regions and subsidiaries. Lead and manage a team to provide data intelligence, analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders to support decision making for all finance functions across the business.

Your duties would include:

- Work with Finance leadership team to develop a common financial strategy, and feedback business insights to head office to support strategic target setting and decision making.
- Collaborate with QR Leadership teams to address global opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate with all relevant department of QR Finance to proliferate data, tools and techniques across the business to facilitate data driven decision making.
- Identify, plan and support the implementation of business process improvement projects by defining improvement targets and measuring the results.
- Support delivery of strategic innovation including new solutions, products and analytics with the purpose of increasing profit and minimizing cost. Drive development of best practices approach for analytics and metrics through selection of the right people and tools alongside definition of effective processes.
- Define long-term business objectives and KPIs and validate these with department Heads / Executives.
- Keep abreast of industry and regional best practice and development and ensure information and best practices are shared and adopted to the benefit of the company and the Group.
- Lead initiatives to identify and provide detailed analysis of new business venture opportunities.
- Lead long term vision to have one single source of truth for Financial data cross all departments.
- Manage business intelligence projects across the business relating to the achievement of revenue results.
- Provide input into revenue objectives and KPIs in conjunction with key stakeholders. Offer data insights and analytics to support business decision making.
- Train, coach and mentor colleagues (from Executive to any roles, as needed) in Business Intelligence tools and implementation.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for dashboards, process mapping, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), baselines and challenging targets, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and deliver Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opportunities to support the Transformation Strategy.
Provide regular revenue and cost updates to all key stakeholders to support their operations.
- Conduct frequent revenue performance reviews with key stakeholders in order to produce detail data driven insights.
- Identify areas of revenue leakage, and develop and implement solutions to eliminate leakage.
- Support achievement of best return on investment by ensuring measurement of performance of all relevant business decisions across finance function.
- Coordinate and execute any ad-hoc tasks, as required by senior executives, within the team and ensure an effective production of deliverables.
- Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to produce creative solutions. Create a strong team spirit by demonstrating a can-do attitude to problem solving.
- Build and sustain relationships with senior management within Qatar Airways and create strong ties to external stakeholders where required and appropriate.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
- MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
- Essential experience - Aviation Management, Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Engineering, Physics, Finance or any other relevant field with substantial quantitative exposure.
- Should have Strong Presentation skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access and Power Point, Data Analytics Software, (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Proficiency with Oracle Financials is essential.
- Ability to present complicated financial concepts to non-finance individuals is required.
