A **Glass & Aluminium Fabricator** is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing glass and aluminum materials for various construction projects, including windows, doors, curtain walls, facades, and other structures. This role involves both technical and practical skills to ensure high-quality, precise fabrication and installation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fabrication and Assembly**:

- Cut, shape, and assemble glass and aluminum components to meet project specifications.
- Operate machinery, tools, and equipment to fabricate glass and aluminum, including saws, grinders, drills, and welding tools.
- Ensure the proper fitting and joining of aluminum frames, glass panels, and other components.
- Handle and manipulate glass safely, ensuring that it is cut and shaped accurately and without damage.
- **Installation**:

- Install fabricated glass and aluminum units in various building structures (windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights, etc.).
- Use appropriate tools and techniques to secure glass and aluminum components in place, ensuring they are stable, functional, and aesthetically aligned.
- Install gaskets, seals, and hardware to ensure air, water, and soundproofing are effectively managed.
- **Measurement and Blueprint Interpretation**:

- Measure and assess spaces accurately to determine the dimensions for cutting glass and aluminum parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications to ensure all components meet project requirements.
- **Quality Control and Inspection**:

- Inspect the quality of fabricated glass and aluminum products before installation.
- Check for any defects or imperfections in the glass or aluminum and ensure that the materials meet safety and quality standards.
- Perform tests to ensure the functionality of the installed components, such as checking for water tightness or structural integrity.
- **Maintenance and Repairs**:

- Conduct routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and tools to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
- Repair or replace damaged glass or aluminum components in existing installations, ensuring the repair work matches the original quality.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow strict safety guidelines and industry regulations when handling, cutting, and installing glass and aluminum.
- Use protective gear and equipment, such as gloves, goggles, and scaffolding, to minimize risk.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with other fabricators, contractors, and construction teams to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and colleagues to clarify project specifications or resolve any issues.
- **Project Management Support**:

- Assist in estimating material needs, project timelines, and labor requirements for fabrication and installation.
- Help in managing workflow and ensuring that deadlines for glass and aluminum fabrication and installation are met.
- **Customization and Special Projects**:

- Fabricate and install customized or complex glass and aluminum units based on specific client or project needs.
- Work on specialized tasks, such as curved glass installations or designing intricate aluminum frameworks.
