Primary purpose of job

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the strategic on-going planning, design, and enhancement of

QATARENERGY’s server deployments in the data center for Intel and RISC server environment. The focus will be on

providing robust, highly available & responsive, secure, and scalable server environment while minimizing Total Cost of

Ownership (TCO) and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state of the art technologies, best practices,

policies, processes, and procedures.

Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a directly related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience in

Microsoft Windows Servers, VMWare Cloud foundation and Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS.
- Strong architectural skills and expertise within the data center infrastructure environment including capacity planning,

performance analysis, and systems management integration
- Ability to understand business requirements and then propose IT solutions to meet business objectives
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and cloud adoption best practices
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Troubleshooting skills with Active Directory Infrastructure, Azure AD, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows Server 2012,

2016 and 2019.
- Desirable experience in Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager ( SCCM )
- Desirable knowledge of industry security practices around file system, identity management, server hardening and

vulnerabilities
- Familiar with networking technologies and security protocols.
- Familiar with other operating systems such as Red Hat / SUSE Linux
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, security, automation tools using PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Basic knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as ISO27001/2, COBIT, and ITIL, as well as regulations such

as Sarbanes Oxley and PCI-DSS
- Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes
- Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Defender

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in a related Engineering field or Management Information Systems
- Relevant Industry leading Certifications
