Qatar Airways Group is seeking a senior leader who will be responsible for developing and leading the Group’s global corporate compliance programme. The VP will oversee and direct the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of corporate compliance activities of the Qatar Airways Group, to ensure that each company/department within the Group follows all applicable laws and regulations. They will Identify compliance, legal and regulatory risks, provide strategic guidance to address concerns, make recommendations and implement relevant initiatives to ensure an effective corporate compliance programme. They will also be responsible for directing and leading corporate compliance monitoring, the dissemination and analysis of new or revised laws and regulations, research on compliance issues, reporting, training and the Group’s overall corporate compliance policies and procedures.

**Accountabilities**:
**Strategic**
- Develop the corporate compliance, governance framework that is clearly measurable, applicable and meets the business requirements.
- Promote and ensure compliance and ethical behaviors and play a fundamental role in compliance risk identification and mitigation by building and running a compliance program supporting achievement of QRG’s mission.
- Interpret new industry standards and develop, monitor and manage policies and procedures to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support identification of legal risk and non-compliance and recommend improvements for all business departments and business processes in conjunction with other relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that the corporate compliance framework balances industry best practices alongside cost effectiveness and business impact.

**Operational**
- Own and lead on corporate compliance management for Qatar Airways Group. Lead the corporate compliance programme, including anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, export control, anti-money laundering and due diligence.
- Report to executive management as directed as to the operation and effectiveness of compliance efforts.
- Improve, establish and maintain ongoing and new training programs for relevant compliance areas.
- Establish programmes to instil a culture of compliance, including communications programs and leadership initiatives.
- Provide counsel to business leaders and support functions on corporate compliance matters as required.
- Review template contracts and documents to draft and endorse legal compliance-related clauses.
- Perform other duties related to his/her position as directed by the GC & CLO.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Essential**
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10+ years of job-related experience.
- Additionally, professional Certification in either corporate compliance or project management.
- At least 10+ years of full-time work experience in complex compliance and project management environments.
- Have developed and implemented ‘new’ corporate compliance programmes within complex organisations previously.
- Have successfully lead teams in executing similar projects.

Proven background in corporate compliance and regulatory environments. Skills and expertise required in the following areas:

- Agility to meet the dynamic and ever-growing environment of the organization.
- Strong understanding of anti-bribery and corruption laws, sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, due diligence and other relevant global corporate compliance standards.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
