The role involves supporting the catering manager in ensuring that food services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in overseeing the preparation and delivery of meals, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage meal schedules and ensure timely service.
- Monitor food storage, inventory, and supply levels, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
- Assist in supervising kitchen and catering staff, including cooks, servers, and cleaners.
- Ensure that staff adhere to safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Interact with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences.
- Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and food preparation.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in managing the catering budget, including food, labour, and other operational expenses.
- Help negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices for ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor and control waste to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Support planning and developing menus that meet client specifications and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and visually appealing.
- Conduct taste tests and quality checks to maintain high food standards.
- Assist with ordering supplies, managing invoices, and maintaining food and labour cost records.
- Prepare reports on catering activities, including performance metrics and customer feedback.

**Key skills and qualifications**:

- **Experience in Catering or Food Service Management**: Prior experience in the food service industry, particularly in a large-scale or industrial setting, is essential.
- **Leadership and Team Management**: Strong leadership skills are needed to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- **Organizational skills**: ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- **Customer Service Orientation**: Strong interpersonal skills to handle client relations and resolve issues.
- **Food Safety Knowledge**: Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- **Budgeting and Cost Management**: Basic financial acumen to assist in managing budgets and controlling costs.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Assistant Catering Manager: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- QID (preferred)
