_**Job Description for Chef**_
- **Job Purpose**:_

We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers.

A chef is responsible for creating delicious and nutritious meals for their guests. They must be able to lead a team and plan menus and daily specials. The chef also has a responsibility to manage food costing and inventory. They should also ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations and to perform various functions in restaurants and to ensure meals are prepared and presented to customers satisfactorily.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Create menus and develop new recipes that showcase Italian cuisine and designing the plating presentation for each dish.
- Prepare and cook Italian dishes, such as pasta, pizza, antipasti, and seafood using traditional and modern methods.
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within their specific section.
- Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
- Supervise kitchen staff and manage food inventory.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards.
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Team leading and training staff.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Operating various kitchen equipment.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Qualification from a culinary school.
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
- Passion for delivering great food and service.
- Multitasking and organizational ability.
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
