**About the role**

You will support the Control and Governance function at the Outstations Global Business Services by assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of financial controls across all processes. You will act as part of the Second Line of Defense, supporting Quality Assurance efforts to proactively identify financial risks, monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across Outstations. You will ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Internal Accounting Procedures (IAPs), Policies, and System Automation to safeguard Qatar Airways’ financial interests at Outstations. Your role includes evaluating station performance, ensuring transparency and adherence to established control standards, and driving improvements through automation and best practices.
- Assist in tracking and reporting the performance of Outstations against key control measures.
- Conduct regular reviews and quality assurance reviews of finance processes to ensure adherence to QR policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
- Assist in developing dashboards and reports to track Outstation’s financial performance.
- Review Outstations Financial Reports and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in promoting continuous improvements in finance processes and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Perform self-audits and spot checks on Outstations’ financial activities to identify control weaknesses, fraud risks, or policy violations.
- Document and report the findings and Observations to Financial Management for recommendations.
- Assist in automation projects to enhance control processes.
- Assist and Support during Station Audits by providing data, documentation, and assistance in audit-related tasks.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Head of Department.

**About you**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
- Strong aviation finance background with exposure to Airline Expenditure, Revenue Accounting, and Outstation Finance activities through direct station roles or supporting outstations from HQ.
- Familiarity with various station operational models (BSP, Non-BSP, CASS, GSA, self-handling, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including expense control and compliance validation.
- Experience working closely with or at Outstations, with strong knowledge of station-level finance operations.
- High-level ERP user experience (preferably Oracle).
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational ability, with the capacity to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Self-starter, able to work independently with mínimal supervision. Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong numerical skills.
- Critical thinking skills to challenge processes and suggest improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred
- Experience in station audits, internal audit support, or financial risk and compliance functions.
- Good understanding of airline ticket billing cycles, including sales and refunds.
- Knowledge of IATA Resolutions and airline Direct Operating Costs.
- Proven track record in automation or process improvement projects, particularly in station finance operations.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a strong plus.
