**Senior Occupational Health Doctor**

**About the role**

As Senior Occupational Health Doctor, you will be responsible for supporting the QR Medical Director in maintaining and developing the Occupational Medicine Service for the QR Group to ensure employees are fit for their roles, remain medically fit for work and risks to employees from job related health hazards are appropriately controlled.

**Accountabilities**
- Leads in the development of Group Medical Occupational Health services in line with the divisional and QR Health & Safety objectives
- Develop Occupational Health team strategy and drive the implementation and subsequent delivery of the Occupational Health services to all QR group staff
- Develop Occupational Health Services,Policies and Procedures required to operate a cost-effective service in line with international best practice standards.
- Motivates QR managers to employ best practice and provides support and advice related to Occupational Health particularly where regulatory standards are unavailable.
- Raise awareness of occupational health-related medical issues within the business.
- Oversee the management of medical cases where work may have impacted on health or where health may impact on the future ability of the employee to continue working.
- Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
- Keep abreast with any market trends and developments.
- Ensure that in performance of the role, all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the QR Group and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purposes of the use, disclosure or request.
- Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.

Qualifications

**About you**

You will possess:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
- Must be an accredited specialist qualified in Occupational Health Medicine or Board certifications and / or Accreditation by professional Fellowship or Membership bodies, for e.g. MFOM, AFOEM, FAFOEM or equivalent
- Experience of working in commercial, industrial and / or aviation settings.
- Basic Aviation Medical Training would be an advantage.
- Experience of providing Occupational medicine in the commercial or aviation sectors
- Appropriately delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
- Drive team development through coaching and training
- Foster teamwork and an inclusive team environment
