**Purpose of the position**:
We are looking for a new Service Technician who applies mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment. Repair and maintenance work for MacGregor product range, plus foreign maker cargo access and other related equipment.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Main objective is to carry out efficient maintenance, and repairs thus maintaining customer confidence in MacGregor
- Independent working methods
- Awareness of the profitability of the Branch
- Continuous development of own skills

To carry out the day to day activities as specified below:

- Carrying out planned and corrective maintenance/repairs, including onboard inspections of equipment according to MacGregor Service Operating Principles Manual
- Provide information and write reports as required
- Carry out port sales
- Job management of the subcontractors
- Make decisions about commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Operations Superintendent

**What you’ll need to succeed**:

- Vocational diploma in engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years direct experience as a technician in marine business or similar equipment
- Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
- Ability to handle confidential information and ability to interface with all levels of staff
- Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage and complete projects in individual and group settings
- Hydraulic system/component knowledge,Proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends or on call duty, excessive overnight travel required
- Ability to multi-task while completing work in a competent and professional manner
